Amy is a 4 year old female cat with medium length black hair. Amy is a 4 year old female spayed kitty who has a manageable urinary tract condition. Amy's body produces crystals in her urine, which causes bladder inflammation and pain. However, since coming to the Gastineau Humane Society, she has been diagnosed by our clinic with this manageable condition and we are feeding her special food which has alleviated her condition. Amy had a recheck urinalysis done just a week after starting her on her prescription food and she had no crystals in her urine. She has been using her litter box without any accidents here at GHS. We are optimistic that because Amy is such a kind hearted girl. she will find that special family willing to love her and provide her prescription food. She should require no more veterinary care than a regular kitty at this point, and the only anticipated extra costs known at this time would be for her prescription food. The food is available at any of the local veterinary clinics. Thanks for your interest in Amy! Animal visiting hours are Monday-Friday 2pm-5:30pm and on Saturday 1pm-5pm.
